Description:

You may think of the detective novel of hard-boiled school like this: in a party, Walker knows a mysterious lady called Rachel who begs him to find her lost husband named MalloryWalker agreed. However, with the deep investigation, everything is becoming more and more inconceivable, and surreal scenes follow close on another..what kind of ending will be for this dream-like pursuit? Like many postmodern fictions which borrow the outer skin of detective novel only, the ending is open throwing off abstract metaphysical temperament, like the most typical representative: Paul Austers The New York Trilogy. While, The modern version of the United States in The Invisible City written by Calvino gives a description to the detailed imagination to fantastic cities. As for those wonderful chases and fighting, the strong visual effects obviously are borrowed from film noir and noir comics in 1960s.
